Kentun King scored 13 points, and Carlos Moreno had 12 to help lead the Rudder boys basketball team past Houston Northbrook 57-45 for the first win of the season Friday at the Lamar Consolidated ISD tournament.
The Rangers then rallied to force overtime in their second game of the day but fell to Oak Ridge 54-50.
Rudder (1-7) will continue tournament play at 10 a.m. Saturday against Cypress Ridge.
